This year the world became more acquainted with global warming and other environmental foes. The great divide between those who accept the science and those who deny it is just a symptom of an absence of solutions and the mechanism to actualize them.
That notion is substantiated by the rhetoric of the argument which points to the protection of their own camps but fails to address the fact that one way or another the events are occurring. I suggest that there is a larger and more inescapable reality at play here, namely, that the human worldview is finally incapable of coping with the effect of its own creation.
The fate of the Neanderthal human species may be an eloquent analog of a society whose worldview was not sufficient to cope with rapid environmental changes.
