Selected Works from 2004

Art cannot ever be fully defined because like the universe we live in, art is also a "work in progress" it changes and it amplifies itself as it travels towards the future. Therefore art is an ever changing object that mirrors our interpretation of life and the environment where the human drama is taking place.

We humanity are traveling through extensions of the information age and it is obvious that art should reflect the mental dialog going on as a result of such unprecedented amount of information.

Computers are mayor players in the information age, however this doesn't mean that the discipline associated with the production of art be dismissed by the appearance of new tools and reproduction processes, on the contrary,  the art should reflect greater capacity to integrate the traditional skills associated with art to produce works that represent the age in which they are being produced.

The requirements for art are being modified, as art moves from a purposeless arena to one with new levels of utility as prescribed by the cultural needs of a civilization in peril. The art of the 20th century liberated the art object from any dependence on any specific source of media to carry out its interpretation of reality.

That hard won victory, is now being applied to a language of art that embraces utility at levels where the end product is a seamless experience of art and life.

The collection of works that follow offer a wonderful binary experience not so much for the way the art was achieved but rather for the quality of its presentation as a doorway to the meaning behind it and your perception of it.
