| The following collection of paintings (acrylics on canvas) explored a voice, into the discussion of large scale
social, political and environmental issues, in the form of an imaginative
narrative intended to establish a sense of urgency to the drama of the fast
disappearing natural world in the wake of the expanding boundaries of
civilization. In these works "Nature" is portrayed as a series of isolated
remnants with a future that is tenuous at best. The original canvases produced one single copy, printed on canvas at a size larger than the original, the print magnifies the technical minutia of the work while giving the work a scale more relevant to the narrative of the subject matter. |
